NYT's Look at a New Art History (Link)
I have long thought about how how art works wriggle their way into the vernacular of art history. Though this article doesn't address that directly it does pose an intriguing look at one methodology. Even more interesting is this idea of a specific art history existing beyond the confines of academia.
